A Trip to An Island

  During the last holiday, my family and I went to our favourite vacation spot, Pulau Langkawi, which is known as the jewel of Kedah. We set out our leg of journey to the Payar Island Marine Park. After checking in the resort and settled our luggage in the room, we had a good time snorkelling in the sea with crystal clear water sparkling like a sea of diamonds.After that, we went to the cosy corners in the resort which were conductive to indulge in beverages and relaxation.

            We then went to Langkawi Cable Car and Sky Bridge which is a very worthwhile places to visit. By using the cable car, we were taken to the top of Mount Mat Chincang with the height of 2000 feet. The moutain ascended to the clouds and the breathtaking view was exhilarating. I felt very excited too as I had my first ride on Sky Bridge.Well, it was really thrilling.

            In the evening, my father proposed to visit the Eagle Square. The government has bult a statue of an eagle as a symbol and landmark of Langkawi due to the word Langkawi which means Eagle. We were all captured by the amazing views of the beautiful background of the eagle and the sunset at that moment.Then, we had our dinner together at a restaurant. We tasted many delicious local food in Langkawi such as Ikan Bakar, Laksa, Kuih Loyang, Hainan Chicken Rice and many more.

            The next day, we went shopping together as Langkawi is a shopping paradise for duty-free goods from all aroung the world, from perfumes, cigars, confectionery, handicrafts, the finest brands of wines as well as branded apparel and more. We left this beautiful island at about 1 p.m.This was an unforgettable and fantastic trip for me and my family.
